CONFIRMATION

The Sacramental preparation program for Confirmation is an engaging, discussion-driven program designed to prepare the young people to make the decision to confirm their faith in Christ within our community of faith in the Roman Catholic Church. The program includes discussion, Bible study, journaling, a mini retreat, and volunteer hours. Children in the catholic school system attend a one-year program and children in the public school system must complete a two-year program.

Students enrolled in the Confirmation program are usually in Grade 7 at elementary school, however students in Grades 8 and 9 may also enroll. Registration to this program starts immediately after Labour Day each year, classes begin the following January and the Sacrament is usually celebrated in the Spring. Please be aware, the number of students register into this program depends on the number of prepared, properly vetted volunteer teachers that we might have.
