MARRIAGE

Couples wishing to get married at St. Joan of Arc should contact the church—preferably a year before their wedding date — in order to ensure that all the paperwork and preparation for marriage is done.

The Catholic party or parties need(s) to obtain a recent (within the last six months) copy of their baptismal certificate from their parish of baptism. A non-Catholic Christian needs to provide a copy of their baptismal certificate or letter of baptism. An unbaptized person is not require to provide documentation.

You will make an appointment to meet with the priest to begin your paperwork and discuss your marriage, not just the wedding. He will provide you with information on planning the ceremony. If there are special circumstances regarding your wedding, he can help.

You will need to register for a Marriage Preparation Workshop from Catholic Family Services at (416) 921-1163, or through this link: Home - Catholic Family Services of Toronto (cfstoronto.com)
